Seatr

Summary

Seatr was a proposed startup application by Deki L that was intended for individual use at her restaurant workplace. The app intends to save time and effort by organising current customer seatings in real-time in addition to reserving tables for future customers. My role involved the creation of a logo concept in addition to concepts of the user interface and mockups of potential products like business cards. Said concepts were created through Adobe photoshop and Blisk as my digital assets.

Design Process

Warm blended colours was chosen for the colour palette in order to resemble similar hospitality based apps like Doordash and Menulog, allowing users to automatically associate Seatr to said purposes. Softer font was ideal to reflect the optimised friendly customer experience idea so SF Pro Display Bold font was selected for its unique lowercase character profile. The images within the logo were drawn and cropped to create this minimal design which is further aided by the negative space of the utensils in the table. The images of utensils and table paired in turn further convey the idea of ''eating in'' or being seated in a dining establishment, reflective of the app's purpose.
